Hazel and I visited Other Mothers yesterday at their new location, also on Montgomery Blvd. The only reason I knew it was there is because I was driving down Montgomery before it opened and saw the sign. For the record, the old store, located at 5001 Montgomery is now closed.

While online advertising could clearly use some improving. For instance, on Google Places, while it advertises the new address with a directions link, 7200 Montgomery Blvd. NE Suites C & D – Albuquerque, NM 87109, the first picture is the exterior of their old address. Naturally my inclination was to assume the address advertised was for their old Montgomery address. The image above is their new sign located at the new address. Basically, if you know how to get to their old address, keep going down Montgomery past Del Norte High School.

Due to this in addition to a lack of advertising regarding the NEW location, it makes it really hard to know if you are going to the right place on Google Maps.

We were, however, lucky enough to find it and although inventory seems lower than usual, we were able to find three dresses each and a couple of dolls in good condition. There is a buy two, get one free sale on dresses going on now through the 29th of June, 2022. You may need to sign up for and accept text discounts on fivestars – the promotion application Other Mothers uses.

I did have a credit of $10 for trade-ins which is better than we typically recieve for recent donations which included diapers, wipes, kids and women’s clothing and shoes. With our discounts to include two free dresses (we purchased four) and two dolls, our total came to $50 – still well below the new purchase price which would have maybe covered one or two of the dresses we bought.

Other bonuses to the new store location, it is much larger and spread out over two suites thus you have room to walk now. There is also a wheel and/or cart friendly ramp which takes you into the women’s section, and there are two seperate areas for purchases and two dressing room areas as well; one for kids and babies and the other located in women’s clothing.

While many of the staff are the same, there was a new hire yesterday which means they now have growing room which is hopeful for a local retail establishment. If you live in Albuquerque or are just visiting, be sure to check them out for great deals on used clothing, toys, furniture, car seats, shoes, etc. for your little and yourself too.

Sharing is caring.
